Abstract (EN)
The study area is located 30 km Southwest of Yozgat province, 10 km Southeast of Yerköy district, and 2 km Southwest of Kahyaköy district, and mineralization is observed in monzogranite in Central Anatolian Granitoids within the Central Anatolian crystalline complex. The mineralization was formed due to the hydrothermal flows brought by the Late Cretaceous-Early Paleocene aged Baddag Volcanite that cut the Central Anatolian Granitoids. Minerals exhibiting polymetallic character including magnetite, hematite, goethite, chalcopyrite, covelline, bornite, malachite, azurite, and fahlerz were determined in the bright section examinations made in the ore samples. Geochemical investigations were also carried out on the ore samples observed in the study area. As a result of these investigations, it is thought that volcanic activity has an important effect on mineralization. In the mineralization, both primary and alteration product formations were determined. It was determined that chalcopyrite and covellite were replaced by goethite and magnetite was transformed into hematite. This situation was interpreted as the mineralization consisting of several phases. In addition, it can be thought that the mineralization is a mineralization that developed at a lower temperature due to volcanic activity. While the volcanism experienced in the Late Cretaceous-Early-Paloesene period formed the primary mineralization and thus the primary minerals, the subsequent hydrothermal and meteoric waters caused the formation of secondary minerals or the change of existing minerals.
