Abstract (EN)
In this study, 120 blood samples of domestic sheep breeds in Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Medical Biology and Genetics were studied. In this study, it was tried to detect the mutations in "BETA LAKTOGLOBULIN" and "DGAT1" genes, which are related to milk yield of sheep. It means that milk production from cattle will not be enough and other options for milk production will be required. As a conclusion to be drawn from these statements, it is presented that agriculture and animal husbandry is a sector that needs to be improved and developed on a national scale. In this study, it was aimed to determine the milk yield polymorphism in domestic sheep breeds by PCR-RFLP method. The efficiency of these two genes in sheep milk was determined. As a result of the studies, many effects of genes on sheep milk have been found. The results of this research will be needed more in the coming years. More detailed studies should be done on milk yield and a secondary nutrition source should be created in order to be less affected by the events that may come our way.
