Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the mediating role of organizational agility in the impact of green transformational leadership on organizational sustainability. In the literature, the strategic importance of leadership and agility in achieving environmental sustainability goals is increasingly recognized. In this context, the study offers a theoretical and empirical contribution to understanding the interaction between organizations' leadership approaches shaped by environmental sensitivity and their ability to quickly adapt to changing environmental and market conditions. The data collected through the survey method were analyzed using statistical analysis programs, and hypothesis tests were conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). A survey was sent to 436 businesses selected through simple random sampling; the data from 418 surveys that were returned and found to be suitable for analysis were evaluated using statistical analysis software. The findings reveal strong and significant relationships between the variables of green transformational leadership, organizational sustainability, and organizational agility. In particular, it was found that green transformational leadership has a positive and indirect effect on organizational sustainability by increasing the level of organizational agility. In this context, it was concluded that organizational agility acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between green transformational leadership and organizational sustainability. Research findings show that green transformational leadership contributes to the formation of a culture of sustainability within organizations by increasing employees' environmental awareness, and that agile management accelerates this process. In particular, agile leadership has been found to be decisive in ensuring the continuity of sustainability policies during times of crisis. In this context, organizational agility is considered not only as the capacity to adapt quickly to change, but also as a strategic mechanism that strengthens the impact of green transformational leadership. The research contributes to the theoretical literature and provides guidance for practitioners in developing sustainability-focused leadership strategies. The findings indicate that the dynamics of green transformational leadership and organizational agility must be evaluated together in order for businesses to gain a competitive advantage. In this context, the successful implementation of sustainability strategies by organizations is directly related to the adoption of agile leadership and flexible management models. In conclusion, this study explains the impact of green transformational leadership on organizational sustainability and emphasizes the critical role of organizational agility in this impact. The findings indicate that green transformational leadership and organizational agility dynamics must be considered together in order for businesses to gain a competitive advantage; future studies will provide an important foundation for further examination of these effects and identification of areas for improvement in practice.
