Abstract (EN)

The share of logistics activities among the factors that cause global environmental problems is quite high. While this situation increases environmental pressures on the logistics sector, it pushes countries and businesses to take measures and develop policies on the subject. The aim of this study to present an application on the evaluation of the logistics-environment interactive performances of the European Union countries and Turkey within the scope of green logistics, which is considered as the policies implemented by countries or businesses regarding the reduction or destruction of the environmental effects of logistics activities. Six different DEA methods were used for environmental efficiency measurement in the study. The variables related to the inputs and outputs used in the measurement are grouped based on the dimensions of sustainable logistics. As a result of the analysis, a green map of the current situation of the countries regarding the logistics sector was tried to be drawn. In the absence of comprehensive data on countries and businesses on green logistics, this study can set an example to analyze the green logistics performance of countries or businesses and create ideas for new studies in this field, in addition, it is thought that international or national organizations can raise awareness by drawing attention to the elimination of this deficiency in the field of green logistics.
