Evaluating managers' opinion on the place of sustainable production in green supply chain management

The concept of sustainability is one that is becoming increasingly important not only for society, which has turned into a consumer structure, but also for businesses. Sustainable Development is a global problem that has become a common issue for all people living in the world, and which focuses on basic human needs, especially climate change and environmental protection, world peace, fundamental rights and freedoms, and democracy discourses, as well as social problems, economy and environmental problems, as a whole has become a purpose. In order for an environmentally friendly business to be possible, that business must first have knowledge about the concept of green, and this information must be accepted and shared by suppliers, employees and customers and act accordingly. Within the scope of Green Supply Chain Management and at the center of stakeholder theory, the disclosure responsibility of businesses towards their stakeholders, suppliers, employees, customers, the society in which they operate and other stakeholders forms the basis of corporate sustainability. The purpose of the study is to investigate the perspective and level of managers with decision-making authority in businesses on green supply chain management that supports sustainable production. In this study, one of the qualitative research methods Tracer / Process Monitoring and Exploratory Research methods were used. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with the business managers who constitute the study population, and frequency and percentage analyzes and the Excel program were used to analyze the data obtained by applying the descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the study; it has been concluded that the increasing pressure from rule makers and legal regulations, as well as the government supports and funding aid that will come with it is very important. And It will be encouraging for producing businesses to give more importance to green and sustainable practices within the scope of their entire supply chains and to make these practices widespread. Mainly, emphasis was placed on the concept of the 17th sustainable development goal, "partnership for the goals". Within the framework of supporting legal regulations and policies, by adopting innovative practices with the contribution of technology with a continuous improvement perspective, the importance of stakeholder participation has been emphasized through trainings and projects that will raise awareness.
