The opinions of parents and teachers of students with disabilities in terms of school adaptation in the process of starting primary school

There are differences between the typical developing children and the children with disabilities. The aim of the study is to determine the views of parents and teachers of students with autism spectrum disorder or mental disability in terms of school adaptation during primary school. The research was carried out with a phenomonological design, one of the qualitative research designs. Research 2018-2019 academic year in Eskişehir depends on the autism spectrum disorders in primary grades Directorate of National Education or mental deficiency diagnosed with having students 10 classroom teachers and 10 parentsIt was realized with the participation of. The data of the study was collected through participant information form, semi-structured interviews and researcher's diary. In the analysis of the data obtained through semi-structured interview, induction analysis technique was used by using QSR Nvivo 12 package program for Windows. As a result, failure of students who are peers then , the teacher s and their parents the adoption by the positive teacher- parent relations , the typical developing female students interact with students with disabilities are being good, support training room and shadow teacher positive effect on school adaptation. One of the servants of physical conditions , long time spent in school n the feeling of failure in students and teachers were seen as difficult to adapt to the school. Parents and teachers of the school management from students with disabilities in the process of adaptation can participate in social activities area 's have expressed the need of the formation. Parents, students with disabilities, while periodically said they thought marginalization by their peers and teachers, if teachers to express themselves marginalized by these students and their peers from parents different opinion appears.
