Concordance and functional glossary of the Yetîms Dȋvân

The classical Turkish poetry is a poem that has been in the focus of criticism from the past to the present at the point of understanding. The language used in that period and the changes in the language used in this period have been shown as the reason why the poem isn't undertood. This master study is subject to Yetîm who is one of the classical Turkish poets. In this study, it has been aimed to create a useful auxiliary resource for collective glossary works, shed light on the vocabulary and the language characteristics that belong to the living period of the poet through the Yetîm's Dȋvân and help to reveal the vocabulary of the Turkish literature. The works of concordance and functional glossary are carried out in order to provide a versatile perspective to the reader by placing new semantic values gained in poetry alongside glossary meanings of words. The concordance and functional glossary of the Yetîm's Dȋvân have been tried to be prepared with precision. The work with two copies has been reread, taking into consideration the previously conducted academic studies. Furthermore, some words that cannot be read due to the differences in text or copies have been reassessed, and changes have been made in some words. The word submissions have been tried to be detected by expounding all of the couplets, then these words have been converted into glossary in their most concise form. In this study, it has been concluded that the meanings of the each word gained within the text are very important in addition to the glossary meanings of these words that compose the poems, and one of the reasons for criticism of the classical poetry is to look superficial to the poems.
