The relationship between procrastination and religiosity in adults

This research is examinated the relationship between procrastination and religiosity in adults. İn addition to these relationship between the demographic characteristics of participants (gender, age, occupation, parent attitude, etc.) were also addressed too. Quantitative method one of research methods was used in the study. Relational and descriptive scanning from quantitative method was used in the study. Sample of the research is included 632 adult participants who living in Bolu City. Data collection tools of the research are General Procrastination Scale, Religiosity Scale and Personal Information Form. Accordıng to obtained findings in result of the research among procrastination and level of religiosity with demographic variables are found some differences. For example, according to the relationship between parental attitude, religiosity and procrastination among demographic variables, children who grew up in authoritarian families showed a decrease in procrastination behaviors while their religiosity levels increased. According to the relationship between age, religiosity and procrastination of the participants, procrastination tendencies of those between the ages of 18-25 were higher than the others, while their religiosity levels decreased. The relationship between general procrastination and religiosity was found in negative direction. Namely, as procrastination increases, the level of religiosity decreases.
