Abstract (TR)
In this study, it was aimed to examine the interaction between the nutritional status, anthropometric measurements and blood lipid profiles of women aged 19-65 living in the district of Çarşamba, Samsun. The research performed upon 368 adult women between December 2019 to February 2020.This study is a descriptive and cross-sectional study, and a questionnaire form was used as a data collection tool. The questionnaire questions the general information of the participants, their physical activity, the knowledge of their nutritional habits, their anthropometric measurements, biochemical findings and 24-hour food consumption. Total, LDL and HDL cholesterol and Triglyceride levels were evaluated from the biochemical blood findings of the participants. When the differences according to BMI are examined, it was determined that there is a significant difference between BMI and total cholesterol levels of women. It has been determined that women who are obese have higher total cholesterol levels than women who are slightly obese. Also. Women with a BMI of 30 kg / m2 and above have higher LDL cholesterol levels than women with normal weight; HDL cholesterol levels were determined to be lower. In addition, when women’s nutritional intakes were examined, daily energy, carbohydrate, protein and fat intake has fulfilled the recommandations of Turkey Dietary Guidelines. In addition it was found that women with a high waist/hip ratio had higher total fat consumption than with a normal waist/hip ratio. The findings obtained in line with the aim and hypothesis of the study have shown that the nutritional status, anthropometric measurements and blood lipids of the individuals are interrelated. Keywords: Anthropometric Measurements, Nutritional Status, Blood Lipid Profile.
