Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, with the accelerating competitive environment, it is increasingly difficult for businesses to gain competitive advantage and play-act on international markets. Motivation is one of the most substantial resources that can bring an employee to the success in the world of businesses. In order to provide ensure employees motivated, approportiate competency-based practices must be adopted. Competencies desired by organization can be achieved by stimulation of the workforce's possessed competencies, management of employee responsibilities and working time, as well as by conduct of appropriate work management processes. Gained competencies will lead employees to a state of motivation and achievement of the expected results. The subject of this thesis was to examine numerous scientific approaches in order to understand a competence-based motivation and compare them to the practices applied by international companies. In addition to theoretical knowledge, a case studies were conducted for Synthos Group, MetLife Group or Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company - businesses operating in the international market. Personal interviews were held with representatives of the enterprises that manage the human resources process, and the results of these interviews and official data of the enterprises were presented. An atempt was made to disclose that the motivational systems can be variously created according to the working environment, shape of the enterprises and to explain for which purposes this variety can be applied. At the same time, numerous scientific approaches applied in management processes aimed at market competitive advantage were underlined. In addition, attention was brought to the size of the enterprise inversely proportional to the amount of working processes carried out during competence management systems applications. Each case was evaluated individually and deviations were compared to identify the most used practices. It is thought that this comprehensive study, which was conducted for the purpose of making the motivation processes based on competency better understood, will contribute to scientific knowledge.
