Abstract (EN)
In this study, the system was installed to collect the data required for the analysis and design optimization of the ballistic parts of the shotgun and a design optimization study was performed on the barrel part by using response surface optimization in ANSYS program in the light of the data obtained from the test system. Thanks to the test system we established, the pressure, recoil, surface strain and projectile exit velocity values in the barrel during shooting were determined. In the light of the obtained data, finite element method was used to model the barrel design parameters to create the necessary infrastructure. In semi-automatic rifles working with gas, the necessary data were obtained for calculating the appropriate pressure value that should come to the gas chamber for the smooth operation of the system, and for the analysis of the speed and pressure changes from the moment of the projectile in the barrel. Material selection of the important parts of the shotgun was revised.
