Abstract (EN)
Lightning is a natural phenomenon that causes the most disruption and failure in energy transmission lines. Lightning-related studies are usually about the solution of lightning-induced overvoltages through the help of surge arrester. Also, line and pole heights, conductor array and number of conductors are other study subjects. There are also lots of studies on earthing in the literature. The aim of this study is to ensure that the over-voltages caused by lightning are flowing to the ground in a healthy manner and even prevent the voltage jumps caused by lightning. A sample transmission line was modeled using the Bergeron model with support from the PSCAD program. Direct information used in modeling poles is taken from TEİAŞ literature. Lightning information is taken from the MGM on the basis of coordinates. Different lightning intensities were hit to the transmission line. According to the lightning, the voltage rises in the poles and the transmission line were examined. In this study, tower grounding resistors and isolator lengths have been changed and an optimal working condition has been established. In order to evaluate the accuracy of the simulation, again, samples of 2 different faults were evaluated based on TEİAŞ and MGM data. As a result of this, the evaluations were made about the highest grounding values and the lowest isolator heights that should be in the operating conditions of the energy transmission line. In the light of these evaluations, answers were sought to reduce the incidence of lightning- related failures and what steps should be taken to increase the energy supply and quality.
