Abstract (EN)
In the introduction part of our study which consists of six chapters, the aim, content and method of the subject is introduced. In the first chapter of the study, the development of Ottoman Palaces is being examined, by using the currently available sources. While the historical progress of Ottoman Palaces is being explained in brief with its definition and establishment reasons, the palaces which belongs the period of Ottoman Empire are observed with various examples. In the second chapter of the study, The Yıldız Palace is considered as a complex in total space and is examined from the point of its history and general order of its plan. This research is being done from the point of usage area in the titles of garden planning and the effects of topographic characteristics to general settlement. In the subject of general order of settlement, various parts of the Palace and buildings which form the parts are studied separately. In the third chapter of our study, while definition of Ottoman Harem is observed from the point of harem's functional location in Palace living, its relations with other units architectural and social view ; the Harem of Sultan (Harem-i Hümayun) and group of harem buildings where the women in palace live, are being explained. In the fourth chapter, The Master Ladies Suits in Yıldız Palace is studied in process of historical development and the current condition of the buildings, ruins, system of construction, their structures, architectural definitions and functions, characteristics of plans, facade orders etc. are also explained. As the final part of this chapter, functional, structural, material ruins of Master Ladies Suits are determined and reasons which causes the ruins are explained. In the fifth chapter, restoration project is prepared to determine the interventions for the ruins which appeared in building and various protection and conservation suggestions are given.. The study is concluded in the sixth chapter which the results are explained.
