Abstract (EN)

According to the results of epidemiological research, largely on hospital-acquired infections "hand washing" is responsible for compliance with inadequate health personnel. Hand wash requirements, especially in high-risk units such as intensive care is higher. Because where multiple patients are more virulent or colonized or infected with resistant organisms. Possible factors that prevent compliance with hand hygiene compliance in the current study aimed to increase the difficulty of access to hand-washing sink in, insufficient time, skin irritation, ignoring the problem and include personal preferences or habits. Besides, lack of personnel or hospital administrators and unit values were associated with the given hand hygiene compliance rates. But to ensure compliance with hand hygiene behavior change in adults may be improving the physical conditions of education and cause a certain degree of control is sufficient. Most male sex and low compliance is seen in doctors. This situation can be explained by staff temperament behavioral characteristics. Double nowadays psychiatric publications in measuring the characteristics of the most reliable methods "temperament and character inventory", Turkish adapted to the society, which provides personality assessment, according to Cloninger's model both in psychiatric patients is a self-rating scale that can be applied in a healthy society. In this study, between July and December 2014 Celal Bayar University Medical Faculty Hospital Hafsa Sultan serving in intensive care and the appropriate number of methods are available, including hand washing data control staff Infection control committee records from observation; The Ministry of Health in accordance with guidelines recommended by the staff of each format observers were evaluated for eligibility and registration at least 50 contacts were expressed as percentage compliance. After explaining the content of the study staff who agreed to participate and approval of imported personnel, 240 of the temperamental character inventory consists of questions and consisting of sociodemographic short questionnaire to giving filling accept health staff results are processed into the database. After analyzing the data of the basic fractional appropriate univariate analysis for categorical and continuous variables and risk analysis was conducted. However, both parameters revealed no statistically significant difference was observed. As a result, to increase compliance with handwashing behavior change is an adult problem. The determination of temperament and character affecting adult behavior to improve compliance with hand washing, we believe to be guiding their work.
