Abstract (EN)
Poverty is an extremely complicated matter which is within more than one discipline's area of interest, and related to many social problems. This situation causes a great accumulation in poverty literature. Therefore, it is seen that there is a common judgement as "poverty arguments are run out". Poverty eradication is more important situation as well as ending of poverty arguments. It means a huge claim stating that no poor person around the world and this thesis can't have verifiability. Also, economic, social, political development and some circular causes as war and migration bring up again poverty. Besides, these developments bring up new solution methods. At this point, Bangladeshi economy professor Muhammed Yunus, moved with his academic identity and knowledge on economy from academy to field with some of his students to solve the huge poverty problem in his recently founded country. For this purpose, Yunus selected Jobra village in Bangladesh and explored "micro credit" practice which wil be later named by his name. Micro credit system gives small-scale money credit in order to enhance entrepreneurship to poor person who are not trusted by other banks. This new practice recently is praised or vilified in poverty literature, and frequently studied about capability or effect of his practice on poverty eradication. It has caused directly the new practice gained fame, with the help of Muhammed Yunus getting social entrepreneurship awards in various platforms including 2006 Nobel Prize. On the other hand, although Muhammed Yunus is known as an important figure of social entrepreurship in poverty context, that producing solution with enterprise principles and social benefits this topic has not yet studied in context of social entrepreneurship. Beside that despite of having many social entrepreneur awards, Muhammed Yunus does not accept being social enterprise. So that, Grameen Microcredit Model that belonged to Yunus, is an important discussion topic. The model, which is accepted as a social entrepreneurship example, is defined out of social entrepreurship by its founder. From this point of view, this research will present the contribution of social entrepreneurship in the alleviating poverty and will handle the Grameen Microcredit Model in the context of social entrepreneurship.
