Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY In the contemporary business world which is continuously developing, the existince and development abilitiy of the companies depend upon how efficient they use their material and human resources. This is in turn contingent upon the qualifications of the managers. Among the qualifications and skills decision.-making can be said to constitute the basis of management's every stages. The ability of decision making which can be abstracted from management is closely attached to inborn faculties. It can be improved through varions education techiques. In order to provide a theoretical froımework to the current work, managerial concept and functions are looked at and skills of managers are examined. Decision making is analyzed in terms of decision types, decision-making processes and techniques. Upon examining methods pertaining to decision-making skills, various evaluations are provided. As a conclusion, due to the importance of decision-making in management it is arqued that management skills should be acquired through various education techniques. As practice-oriented training methods have more advantage than other techniques, pratice methods should be selected. In order to develop human relations and conceptual skills, practice oriented training methods should also be prefered.
