Abstract (EN)

During the research, significant relationship existence between self-improvement level and managerial effectiveness of school managers is determined according to point view of teachers and school managers who are employed in primary schools.This research population is constituted of school managers and teachers employed in Ankara municipality bordered central district official primary schools. All schools which woman managers take place are sampled, the schools which woman manager does not exist are selected by impartial sampling method.In the scope of this research, determination of directed scales and managerial effectiveness scale for school managers and self improvement of managers and effectiveness for teachers are used.Informations obtained from the scales are represented as table, manager and teacher identity documents are exposed as frequency and percent.Determination of divergency between school managers and teachers is checked by variation analysis, Manny- Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis test, multi-regression analysis related to inferior range of self-improvement level and interpretation of managerial effectiveness.During the research, 0.1 and 0.5 significant level is considered.According to search result:1. There is a significant difference between school managers and teachers at self-improvement and realization of functional development level of managerial effectiveness of school managers.School managers think that they are more successfull at this subject.2. School managers opinion about managerial effectiveness and self-improvement function does not differ with sex; and this function increases positively as educational situation and seniority increases.3. Teachers opinion about managerial effectiveness and self-improvement level of school managers does not form a significant difference according to their sex, educational situation and seniority.4. According to school managers opinion; as the school managers level of self-improvement increases, a positive and intermediate significant increase in managerial effectiveness also arises whereas positive and highly significant increase exists according to teachers.5. According to school managers and teachers opinion, function of self-improvement of school managers is their significant interpretation of them.Suggestions exposed by the researcher which appeared at the result of the research are determined.
