Abstract (EN)

Anxiety disorder is described as worry and fear depending on an unknown cause. Anxiety disorder causes comedowns in the life qualities of managers; both in social and working lives. For that reason, this is important for business managers. In this study, anxiety levels and psychological symptoms of manager-level workers are studied on whether they differ with demographics or not. The study is made with low, mid and high level working managers of a large-scale institutional organization that work in Mersin province. The simple of this study is made with 200 managers; and sample is made choice with convenience sampling. Managers from different levels are given a demographic questionnaire that consists of 8 questions. Psychological Symptom Scan Test (SCL 90-R) is applied to define the psychological disorders and Beck Anxiety Inventory that consists of 21 questions is applied to identify the anxiety levels. In conclusion, a positive correlation between the anxiety levels and psychological symptom levels (somatisation, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobic anxiety, paranoid, psychotism) is present. Working hours, marital status, position and gender from demographics and anxiety levels have a significant difference in between. It has been resulted with this study that anxiety levels and psychological symptoms are low in managers.
