The role of executive charisma in the effect of management styles on organizational climate

This research aims to examine the role of executive/manager charisma in the effect of management style on organizational climate through in the field study on a sampling determined in the field of health, which is one of the important sectors. The quantitative research method was conducted in this study and a survey technique was employed for data gathering for management style, organizational climate, executive charisma, and demographic characteristics in the health sector. To understand the management style was used "The Manager Behavior Scale" was developed by Ali Rıza Terzi and Turker Kurt in 2005, and edited by Ali Rıza Terzi in 2012. To measure how the organizational climate is perceived by the employees is the "Organizational Climate Scale" translated by Özdemir (2005), adhering to the original article titled "Human Resources Practices, Organizational Climate and Customer Satisfaction" developed and published in the Management Journal by Rogg at al. (2001) were used. And to measure executive charisma, which is the other variable of the study, the expressions related to the charisma dimension of the "Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ)" developed by B. M. Bass were used. In the research, during the analysis phase of data, SPSS 26.0 and SmartPLS statistics programs were used. As a result of the analysis made of the data obtained from the health sector, it has been determined that the management style affects the organizational climate positively and meaningfully. The mediating role of executive charisma in the effect of management style on organizational climate was also supported according to the analysis data. Therefore it is thought that the study will contribute to the literature on management style, organizational climate, and executive charisma.
