This research was conducted to evaluate the social exclusion status and depression levels of elderly individuals aged 65 and over living in Yozgat Akdağmadeni district. The sample of the research was Yozgat Akdağmadeni it consisted of 320 elderly individuals aged 65 and over who were registered to Dr. Vasif Bülent Oğuz Family Health Center. In the study, the Introductory Information Form to determine socio-demographic characteristics, the Social Exclusion Scale in the Elderly to determine social exclusion situations, and the Geriatric Depression Scale Short Form to determine depression levels were used. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 25 package program was used to evaluate the findings obtained in the study. The average age of the elderly individuals participating in the research is 71.8±6.17 (Minimum 65, Maximum 95). The mean score of the Elderly Social Exclusion Scale of the elderly individuals participating in the research is 3.45±0.71 (Minimum 1.56, Maximum 5). The Geriatric Depression Scale Short Form total score average of the elderly individuals participating in the study is 7.1±3.86 (Minimum 0, Maximum 15). Income status, health perception and geriatric depression; It is a meaningful explainer of social exclusion. Income status, health perception and social exclusion; It is a significant explainer of geriatric depression.
