Abstract (EN)
Coal, natural gas, and oil, which are fossil fuels, are the primary sources used for energy production. However, with the increase in the world's population and its needs, energy consumption is also rising, and underground energy resources are gradually depleting. Furthermore, the combustion of fossil fuels leads to environmental issues such as acid rain, climate change, and increased greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, there is growing interest in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and biomass. Bioethanol produced from biomass stands out as an economical and sustainable energy source, considering the increasing raw material potential and oil prices. Yozgat, located in Turkey's Central Anatolia Region, is the second largest producer of sugar beet after Konya. According to the average data from 2020-2023, 1,332,513 tons of sugar beet were produced in Yozgat, and the bioethanol production potential from sugar beet in Yozgat is calculated to be 121.610.352 liters, while the bioethanol production potential from sugar beet molasses is 7.270.184 liters.
