Structural and bio-technical analysis of aquaculture farms in Yozgat

This study was carried out by the aim of determining the feasibilities, structural and biotechnical problems of aquaculture facilities in Yozgat province. Total 18 licensed fish farms and located in the fresh water were determined. All of them were visited and interviewed with their owner face to face. The data were collected in order to determine present condition of fish farms and their problems. Although total project capacities of farms were 1 542 tons/year, the actual production was found 1 540 tons/year. The average feed conversion rate (FCR) as found 1,12. We have figured out that ponds have not been productively used and stock density is very high in Yozgat, present aquaculture investments must rearrange considering scientific data.
