Local media and artificial intelligence in Yozgat province: A qualitative analysis

This study was conducted using qualitative research methods to determine the perceptions of local media workers in Yozgat towards artificial intelligence and its role in news production. This study was conducted through face-to-face interviews conducted between February 2025 and May 2025. A qualitative research method was adopted in the study, and semi-structured interviews were used as the data collection tool. Participants were asked about their thoughts on artificial intelligence and its potential applications. Descriptive analysis, one of the data analysis techniques within the qualitative research method, was used to obtain the data. The participants consisted of 30 people in total, 8 female and 22 male. Participants stated that artificial intelligence has not only advantages but also some disadvantages. They stated that when used in its positive aspects, artificial intelligence serves as an aid to their professions.
