Abstract (EN)

In this study, stresses occurred on simple lifting hook subjected to static loads were investigated. Alternative stress analysis methods of simple hooks have also been investigated since reliable and precise calculation of the stress values of simple lifting hooks provides both reliable use and economical use of the hooks. Experimental studies have been carried out in the crane to confirm and interpret analytical calculation methods and finite element method. As the analytical calculation methods, the approximate calculation method, the precise calculation method have been used for calculation of the stresses in DIN 15401-05. These two analytical methods have been developed especially for curved axis elements such as lifting hooks. As the numaric calculation method, Stress analysis of the hook was made with the finite element method-based computer software. Strain gage measurements were carried out on the selected crane under the same conditions as theoretical calculation methods. The results of the other analytical calculation methods were compared with the strain gage sensors attached to the cross sections of the maximum and minimum stresses in the lifting hook. Results obtained by using numeric and analytical calculation methods and strain gage measurements have been compared.
