This thesis aims to assess the settlement data from the LBA-EIA transitionfrom the Upper Euphrates and the Amuq. It uses settlement pattern analyses as waysto trace continuity and change, and incorporates architectural data to test their results.Three plains in particular are selected for this tasks; Altınova and Karababa Damarea of the Upper Euphrates and the Amuq at the confluence of North Syria andSoutheast Anatolia. The results demonstrate, once again, that the nature of the LBAEIAtransition in these parts of Turkey is still vague, yet partially promising.
