Abstract (EN)
High voltage insulators operating under operating voltage are adversely affected by environmental conditions. This effect also makes the dirt layer on an insulator surface conductive, which causes leakage currents. Rain and humidity etc. increase these leakage currents, which, in turn, cause surface flashovers. This leads to power failures and economic losses. It is important to take measures to reduce the leakage currents on an insulator surface in order to ensure that high voltage insulators perform effectively. To achieve this, it is necessary to determine the leakage currents on the insulator surface depending on different dirt conditions. Different methods are needed to determine leakage currents on an insulator surface as it is not always possible to do it in the laboratory environment. The complexity of the surface flashover mechanism is what makes its mathematical solution difficult. Some assumptions are therefore needed for the mathematical modeling of dirty insulators. This study addresses the solutions of the surface flashover problem. This study examines how leakage currents of high voltage isolators change depending on clean and dirty conditions, investigates the usability of intelligent methods in the pollution flashover problem, and calculates the surface leakage currents using the Ant Colony Algorithm and the ANFIS method. Experimental results in Öztürk's doctoral thesis were compared with Ant Colony Algorithm and ANFIS results. Key Words: High Voltage Insulator, Pollution Flashover, Dynamic Arc Model, Ant Colony Algorithm, Adaptive Fuzzy Inference Systems.
