Abstract (EN)

With today's technology, there is no device, method or solution that can provide complete protection against lightning discharge. The destructive effect of lightning not only threatens living beings, but also causes irreversible failures for devices or systems. Today, all kinds of devices or systems with electrical and electronic components that are affected by lightning discharge and voltage increases are tried to be protected with the help of lightning rods, surge arresters, Faraday cages and similar devices. In addition to the methods in practice that are inadequate for the protection of devices or systems, YGY-KORSIS prevents high voltage and lightning discharge up to 50000 V and above from reaching devices or systems by connecting it series to the conductors of electrical, electronic, control, energy supply, communication, etc. in the input and output units of the devices or systems. YGY-KORSIS has been subjected to high voltage resistance and permeability test, high frequency data transmission test, and data packet transmission test. YGY-KORSIS consists of fixed and movable contact structures. The contact array has a modular structure and the contacts can be modified. It can be applied to all kinds of systems and devices that use conductive cables. YGY-KORSIS can also be controlled automatically/robotically or via remote access upon user request. All events will be recorded and reported that heppening in the YGY-KORSIS. It can be used for the protection of defense, space, aviation, communication and production facilities and observatories, military bases, radar systems, GSM and TRT transmitters, wind energy turbines, where lightning discharges occur frequently at high altitudes and systems or devices used in the air traffic control towers that require a certain height on the ground. In protection applications that require technical personnel, YGY-KORSIS contributes to occupational health and safety by managing lightning discharges that threaten living things without the need for personnel.
