Özet (EN)

AIM: In this study; the investigation of Eritropoetin Receptor (EPOR), Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels in high grade glial tumor patients and the relation between survival and these findings were aimed. MATERIAL AND METHODS: 26 high grade and 5 low grade glial tissue which operated in Bezmialem Medical Faculty Neurosurgery Department between 2103-2014 were evaluated. EPOR, EGFR, VEGF staining results in tumor tissue were evaluated immunohistochemically. Tumour tissues was classified as (1+), (2+) and (3+) according to staining level. The results were compared with survival time. RESULTS: Median survival time in EPOR 1+ stained group is 8 ay ±3.59 (%95'ci 0,954 – 15,046) and EPOR 3+ stained group is 2 ay ±0,81 (%95'ci 0,400 – 3,600), the group which was not stained with EGFR is 10 ay ±4,57 (%95'ci 1,041-18,959) and EGFR 3+ stained group is 5 ay ±1,78 (%95'ci 1,494 – 8,506), the group which was not stained with VEGF is 16 ay ±6,36 (%95'ci 3,522 – 28,478) and VEGF 3+ stained group is 3 ay ±2,44 (%95'ci 0 – 7,809). (Kaplan Meier; EPOR (p=0.002), EGFR (p=0.003), VEGF (p=0.006)) CONCLUSİON: These findings suggest that there is an inverse correlation between level of EPOR, EGFR, VEGF and median survival time.Treatment targeting to decrease these molecules may be beneficial effects on' survival time of patients with high grade glial tumours.
