Abstract (EN)
Fine blanking method is a sheet metal cutting method developed to obtain better quality cutting surfaces using three effective pressure systems unlike conventional cutting methods. It is method that was first applied in Switzerland, which was develop in the watch industry. In our country, it has just started to be recognized and applied. Considering the break throughs of our country's automotive industry, many different product have the potential to be produced in our country. New generation high strength sheet metal materials are seen as an area to be studied academically. With this master thesis, the difference between the cutting and fine blanking method of high strength sheet metal is revealed. It has been observed that fine blanking prevents the possible roofs during the cutting process. Docol D600 and Docol DP800 cold rolled steel material was used in the experiments. The material thickness was determined as 1 mm. The test materials were cut with a 92 mm diameter water jet. Mold model was designed in Siemens NX program. The designed mold has been processed in the Cimetron Cam program and the punch, fine blanking matrix, cutting matrix and scraper plate, the star shape of the star are created by wire erosion method. As a result of the studies, it has been observed that the fine blanking method is easy apply in the molding technique and it is prevented from deforming under load by increasing the edge cutting quality of the part. In SEM studies it was observed that the cutting distance of the cutting method was longer than fine blanking method, and the cutting distance in the fine blanking method was longer than the cutting method. In addition, it has been observed that the fine blanking and cutting pieces of the moon and star segments are separated from the test material by cutting almost, and in the cutting method, the pieces of moon and stars are separated from test material.
