Export has always been an important concept for national economies. That's why a lot of research has been done on export. In some of these studies, the importance of value-added products in export was emphasized. In this study, based on the literature, the factors affecting the export of high technology products with high value-added and the degree of importance of these factors were attempt to be explained. Annual data of EU member states and Turkey between 2007-2020 were used in the study. In the panel data analysis, resistant Driscoll-Kraay standard errors estimator was used due to the deviations from the assumptions such as heteroskedasticity and cross sectional dependency that impair the efficiency. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that R&D expenditures are one of the most important driving forces of high technology exports in selected countries. Furthermore, it has been understood that military expenditures are also an essential factor in increasing high technology exports. It has been determined that openness to trade, human capital, and institutional quality also affect high technology positively. In addition, it is understood that GDP, GCF, energy dependence, and bussiness freedom have positive and statistically significant effects on high technology exports. However, these effects are less than those mentioned earlier. Finally, no statistically significant effect of FDI on high technology exports was found in the study.
