Abstract (EN)

The main aim of the study is to map out the Turkish university rankings on internationalization. One of the quantitative research designs, descriptive research method was implemented. The sample of the research consisted of twenty-eight Turkish higher education institutes which were ranked in Times Higher Education – World University Rankings in 2019-2020. Data of the study were collected with "Inventory for Assessing the Internationalization of Higher Education Institutes", "Global Mindset Scale for Academy" and "Personal Information Form". Global Mindset Scale for Academy was developed by the researcher by utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods together. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analyses of variance (ANOVA) and correlation analysis. Turkish higher education institutes were ranked based on their internationalization levels, in addition, ranking lists were formed pertaining to sub- categories such as student characteristics, scholar characteristics, research orientation, curricular content, and organizational support. A sensitivity analysis yielded a significant positive correlation (.98, p < .001) between the ranking based on the weighted indicators and a ranking derived from unweighted indicators.
