Özet (EN)
Use of DC/DC converters has been increasing as the number of applications requiring DC voltages have been increasing and renewable energy sources producing DC voltages, such as solar panels and fuel cells, have become more common. Boost DC/DC converters are used to step-up DC voltages to higher values. When the power levels go high, it may be better to use several small rated converters in parallel instead of a single high power one. In this thesis, DC/DC boost converters have been analyzed and controller design for these converters has been carried out. Then, the droop method, which is used to operate converters in parallel, and a special case of parallel operation, in which the number of converters operating in parallel changes during the operation depending on the load power have been investigated. Simulations and experiments show that the efficiency is higher with the recommended method.
