Abstract (EN)
In the current study, the effect in ovo administration of the vitamin C and vitamin E with antioxidant properties on hatching performance and post hatch broiler growth performance were investigated. A total of 200 fertile eggs [(Ross 308; broiler breeders age 34 weeks; average egg weight (61.96±2.30g)] were divided into four groups: control group (not punctured nor treated with additive) sham group (deionize water, 0.6 ml/egg), vitamin C (100 mg/egg) and vitamin E (30 mg/egg). Experimental preparations were injected into eggs at day of 16 of incubation period. Hatched male chicks were raised till 35 days of age. Hatchability was determined as the percentage of fertile eggs. Birds were weighted and feed consumption was recorded weekly in order to calculate feed conversion ratio. End of the experiment, the weights of the carcass, abdominal, liver, bursa and spleen were recorded and expressed as g/kg body weight. Results of this experiment showed that in ovo injection of vitamin or vitamin E into amnion fluid did not affect hatchability, growth performance and carcass characteristics. It was concluded that in ovo injection of Vitamin C and vitamin E had no significant effect on broiler chickens performance.
