Abstract (EN)

Inhibition ability of vinyl tri ethoxy silane compound against corrosion of mild steel, anodic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in artificial rain water after being covered with silane film by waiting for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes in 5% solutions prepared separately in alcohol and water, respectively. analyzed using EIS) techniques. From the results obtained, it has been observed that the corrosion of mild steel in artificial rain water is reduced by keeping it in vinyl triethoxy silane solutions that form a protective film layer on the surface. Inhibition efficiency increases in direct proportion to the increase of residence time in silane solutions of mild steel. The highest inhibition efficiency was observed in the environment where a film layer was formed by keeping the vinyl tri ethoxy silane compound in a solution prepared in water for 60 minutes.
