Özet (EN)
This study aims to identify Orhan Pamuk's place in Greek cultural circles by drawing upon Greek literature. Many of the author's works have been translated into Greek. White Castle [Beyaz Kale] is his first novel that was translated into Greek in its entirety, which was followed by the translation of his other works. Particularly after he was awarded with Nobel Prize in Literature in 2006, the author received greater attention in Greek public opinion, a fact that has been revealed by this study. The study provides information about Orhan Pamuk's translated works and cites articles written on these works, identifying how they are received in Greek literary circles. Furthermore, it discusses the reviews on the author's literary personality and political identity. It also examines various interviews with the author and other news about him published in the media.
