Abstract (EN)

Individuals freedom of movements' leads to national and international regulations specifics to those who have been in a country other than the country of origin for any reason. International regulations on the protection of the rights of persons and their family members in a country other than their country of origin, where they can be long or short term, and also in their country of origin. Bilateral or multilateral agreements protect and regulate the rights and obligations of individuals under certain conditions when they return to their countries. The provision of social security rights, especially for those who are abroad for long or short term, it might be the responsibility of both the country of residence and the country of origin. The concept of citizenship comes to the forefront in terms of obtaining social security rights. Some of Turkish citizens, have been abroad for short or long term for many reasons. The social security rights of Turkish citizens abroad are regulated through bilateral social security agreements between countries. Also, a numerous regulations are included in the national legislation in order to be sure Turkish citizens social security right are recognized abroad.
