Özet (EN)
Literary texts play a crucial role in the transmission of culture to subsequent generations. Every literary text bears traces not only of the poet or author from whom it originated but also of humanity's collective memory. While languages and geographies may change, universal symbols and images are passed on to subsequent generations through similar uses in literary texts. Understanding this symbolic language of texts contributes to the harmony between one's conscious and unconscious minds. In this context, examining the archetypal symbols used by influential poets and writers in their works provides a different perspective on literary studies. This study attempts to examine the masnavi "Şemʿ û Pervâne" by Zâtî, one of the most important poets of classical Turkish literature who lived in the 16th century, from the perspective of archetypal symbolism. This study provides information about Zâtî and his masnavi "Şemʿ û Pervâne," followed by an explanation of some of the concepts employed in archetypal criticism. Following these explanations, the masnavi was examined in terms of archetypal symbolism, based on its plot, and the results were shared. The sources used are presented in the "References" section. The study aims to draw attention to the traces of the collective consciousness and the archetypal backgrounds of classical Turkish literary texts, particularly Zātī's masnavi "Şemʿ û Pervāne," and thus contribute to a better understanding of these works.
