Prophethood in Zamahshari's thoughts

In this study, it is tried to reveal that Zamahshari's opinions on the prophethood who lived in the fifth century and accepted as a member of Mu'tezile sect. While establishing writer's views it utilized especially his famous tafseer named al-Kashshaf and his theological writing named al-Minhaj fi Usulu'd-Din. Our study consist an introduction, two chapter and a conclusion. In the introduction; subject, purpose, method and sources of our study examined. Briefly touched on Zamahshari's scientific personality and his theologist aspect. In the first chapter some notions analyzed directly related to our study and key issues of prophethood evaluated from Zamahshari's perspective. Furthermore tried to find where he stands in the Mu'tezile section. In the second chapter Zamahshari's opinions regard prophets and proving Muhammed's prophethood issues examined. In this chapter particularly to the author's assessments regard emotional miracle and the miracle of the Qur'an emphasised. Keywords: Zamahshari, Prophethood, Proof of Prophethood, Miracle.
