Geotechnical and geophysical methods used in soil investigations and matters need to be concerned

Soil parameters can be determined by soil investigations. The soil investigations in Turkey may be insufficient or give wrong results because of many reasons. In this study; the relationship between geotechnical and geophysical parameters determined in soil investigations are examined. For this reason; the correlations are developed using field data. What kind of support will the results of this study provide to engineers who perform soil investigations are questioned. Also, the advantages of these results to reach the correct values in soil investigations are examined.Keywords: geotechnic, geophysic, shear wave velocity, soil investigation
