Abstract (EN)
Natural dyes are at the forefront of textile dyeing in daily life and have been used in many products from past to present. However, with developing technology, interest in natural dyes has decreased. Since reactive, synthetic and chemical dyes in our daily lives cause various diseases, interest in natural dyes has increased again. Turmeric plant has many benefits in the field of health. It also plays a very important role in textile dyeing. Turmeric (curcumin), used as a dye, is one of the important plants that has a significant dyeing effect. In this study, cotton, wool, polyester fabrics and wooden samples dyed with turmeric were discussed. In the study, different shades of color were obtained from the turmeric plant by using CuSO4, FeSO4 and AlK(SO4)2 mordants. Additionally, experiments were conducted on different samples.
