Abstract (EN)

Olive water produced during olive oil production is one of the main environmental problems in Mediterranean countries. National and international studies are ongoing for the evaluation of wastes originating from olive processing and olive oil producing plants for many years and / or prevention of environmental damages. In this study, a flowchart which optimizes the physicochemical treatability of the wastewater originating from olive oil production has been created and its performance has been demonstrated. In the first stage, the solid materials which can be precipitated by pre-precipitation were removed from the olive water, while the oil-grease content was collected by the adsorbent material obtained from the newspaper. When the coagulation-flocculation-precipitation processes were applied to the pretreatment effluent, the dose of 4000 mg / L alum was determined as the optimum dose, but the sludge settling problem was observed.When the flow chart completed by sonification pretreatment (90 W t = 3 min) and the addition of auxiliary coagulant (cz obtained from pyrolysis of pyrina), the sludge formed was well settled and more efficient treatment was observed.Initially COD, BOD, TKN, TSS, Cu, Organic matter and Mn content of 107200, 43570, 9700, 8773, 4677, 6500, 4190 mg/L were removed as COD 59.7%, BOD 57.1% TKN 93.5% TSS 68.3%, Cu 55.1% Organic Matter 52.3%, Mn 48.7% in wastewater treatment effluent. Other trace pollutants in wastewater were also treated. Organic compounds found in the structure of olive water before and after the treatment process were identified. It has been indicated that these organic compounds are being used as raw materials and additives in different industries. The recovery of these organic compounds prior to purification from land which is rich in content recovery feasibility will also help to reduce the pollution level of wastewater. It also has a composition that can be recovered after treatment. Recycling techniques and optimization and treatment of sludge characterization and material recovery are recommended following this study.
