Abstract (EN)
Products obtained after the harvest of olives are not convenient for final consumers, before entering the marketing process olives need to be passed through a number of processes. Olives must be in a certain size in terms of shape and size and color should be in the desired to facilitate the marketing of olives. Olives must be sorted in terms of color. When olive sorting process is executed by human hand, there is a loss of time and manpower. Thus, an automatic machinery system is need to be used for sorting of olives. In this study, the shape-and color-based classification of olives are aimed by using real-time image processing techniques. Time and manpower saving are planned by implementing a real time optic separation based system for sorting olives. Thus, a cleaner and more quality product will be provided for end consumer and olive processing companies with this system. In this study, a real-time optical sorting prototype machine and software were developed and then olives were sorted successfully.
