Effectuality of teaching with simultaneous prompting to teach the skiil of stockinette stitch to students with mental retarded

This research is planned to investigate the effectuality of teaching with simultaneous prompting to teach the skill of stockinette stitch to students with mental retarded. From the single experimental object methods, multi ?inspection model which is phased inspectioned and among the experimental objects was used to reach the aim of research.The research was conducted with three female students, whose ages change between 16 and 23, in an special education and rehabilitation center in Bolu.In this research ; collective return, dail return, teaching and watching sessions were arranged and single opportunity method was used in assessment phase to evaluate the effectuality of teaching with simultaneous prompting to teach the skill of knitting stockinette stitch.Moreover; all the sessions, which were studied for the research, were made in the form of arrangement of peer to peer teaching. In teaching process, being a model + verbal tips were used together and all the steps of skill analysis were taught together. In addition to this, datas of reliability and reliability of practice between the observes were collected in the research.According to the results of the research, it was observed that simultaneous prompting were effective to teach the skill of stockinette stitch and all the students learned the skill of stockinette stitch with simultaneous prompting. Also it is seen that the students could generalize the skill of stockinette stitch with different equipments and different areas. After teaching of stockinette stitch capability is complete, it was proven to be long lasting one, two or four weeks later according to the analysis made.
