Abstract (EN)
The effectiveness of teaching to safety travel skills by fasten seat belt using social stories to individuals with intellectual disabilties has been examined in this study. The dependent variable of the study is the level of learning the ability of the participants to safety travel skills by fasten seat belt. The social validity of the study was examined through subjective assessment. The study was conducted with two male and a female participants with intellectual disabilities between the ages of 14 and 15 years. The findings of effectiveness show that social story is effective in the acquiring the safety travel skills. In addition, participants maintained the 14, 21, and 30 days after target behaviors acquired and they have generalised the target behaviors to different tools and places. Findings of social validity based on subjective assessment show that the teachers and parents of the participants express positive opinions about the study.
