The effectiveness of addition without carry presented via tablet to children with mental disabilities

The purpose of the research is to investigate the effectiveness at addition of animation program presented via tablet to children with mental disabilities, the permanence after 1, 3, 5 weeks and whether or not practicing. To the purpose, with 3 students (a girl and two boys) with mental disabilities the research is realized. 9-11 aged range subjects are students at a special education class. The research is used with multible probe design with across subjects. The dependent variable of research is the level of addition learning of students with mental disabilities. The independent variable of research is the animation program presented via tablet at teaching addition to students with mental disabilities. The research findings show that the subjects acquire the addition without carry presented via tablet at a level answering the criterion (85%), preserve the acquired skills 1, 3, 5 weeks later after implementation, can generalize with different materials. Social legitimacy datum show that the subjects are very happy during implementation, and their parents are very pleased with the research.
