Özet (EN)

In this study optical and structural properties of zircon mineral were studied. Optical absorption and thermoluminesanscene (TL) properhes were measured in optical examination process. XRD and SEM measurements have been taken in structural properties examination process. In order to examine structural properties of zircon mineral X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) , to determine surface morphology scanning electron microscope device (SEM) was used. Also, the sample was exposured to X-ray which is available in the laboratory in this way thermoluminescence (TL) properties were measured. Meanwhile optical absorbance was determined by optical absorbance was determined by optical absorption device which is available in the laboratory. In Optical absorption measurements of zircon mineral, the absorption peaks were recorded at wave lengths 210, 340, 400, 520, 700, 1090 ve 1510 nm. The luminescence properties of the mineral were analyzed by taking TL spectrum. The changes depending on heating rate and exposured the radiation were examined by TL method. In TL measurements, the strong scintillation was observed at ~ 100 C° and 150 C°. At the same time the weak scintillation which is quite wide range was observed at 275 C° .
