Abstract (EN)

How Auguste Comte had established the sience of sociology to recover France from the crisis, Gökalp, supporter of western civilisation ,also wanted to recover the country from the crisis ,which the country had, blending the whole contemporary people?s eastern and western thoughts.In this research our aim is to display Ziya Gökalp?s thoughts about education.In this sense in order to make Gökalp?s opinion and the importance he considered for education clear, his thoughts about hars (culture: Gokalps concept) and civilization, becoming modernization, language, religion, economics, family, moral that were having an important place on Ziya Gökalp?s thoughts were considered in the sense of education.However,his exist thoughts about national education, formal-informal education, socialization, primary and secondary education and the level of high education and his thoughts about their solution take place.As much as education is a social fact it?s effects on each institution on society is inevitable.Whereas, he described the education which he meant training ? the adaptation to the national culture? of individuals,by the way there were some duties for each institution.Gökalp?s thoughts that had an important effect in that era and continued to be performed on daily life not only in that era but also after his death.from the Unification of Education to civil code, from the education of girls to religion education and secularism it is possible to see on every aspect of our life.Readers of this thesis on Ziya Gökalp?s education perceptiveness will find that education is an important institution in a society,the general situation of that time and will also find the discussion that have been made on this subject.Key Words: Education ?
