Since the beginning of history, war is one of the leading traumatic events that can cause mass deaths and have devastating effects on humanity that can last for many years. Individuals who experience forced migration experience traumatic events such as sexual abuse, survival sex, witnessing a death, difficult living conditions, separation, breaking up of family integrity. Within the scope of the study, the effect of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on alcohol-substance use disorder was investigated in terms of gender, economic status, educational status and traumatic life experiences in forced immigrants. The sample of the study consists of 339 people diagnosed with alcohol-substance addiction who are treated at the Green Crescent Counseling Center (YEDAM) and Adana Alcohol and Substance Addiction Research, Treatment and Training Center (AMATEM). In order to serve the purpose of the research, the Informed Consent Form, Demographic Information Form and the Harvard Trauma Scale to measure PTSD findings were applied to the participants. According to results, there is a positive correlation between Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the level of showing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder according to DSM IV in dependent individuals who are forced to migrate. When Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is analyzed with one-way Anova according to economic status factor, there is a similarity in the scores of low and middle income people.
