The phenomenon of antonomy and context (Surah Saba) as an example

In our study titled "The Phenomenon of Antonomy and Context" the phenomenon of contrast has been examined within the framework of the Qur'an. This study has been approached under two main headings. In the first part of the study, which constitutes the theoretical part, the definition of the phenomenon of antonomy is presented in headings, along with the views of classical Arabic linguists on the subject, considering acceptance and rejection in terms of el-Eḍdād and its types. Subsequently, opinions related to the concept of et-Teḍād in modern linguistics, antonomy in semantics, antonomy in modern literature, Antonomy in philosophy, contrast in Sufism, contrast in linguistics, and characteristics of contrast have been discussed under titles. Furthermore, The study focusing on context in terms of meaning and the relationship between context and the Qur'an have been elaborated. In the second part of the study gives general information about the Surah of Saba (Sheba), the words of contrast and et- Teḍād mentioned in the Surah are identified, and detailed discussions are made on the meanings they contribute to the verses. Then, the relationships of these words with the context are discussed.
