Expressions with religious motives and human values in Zuheyr b. Ebî Sülmâ's divan

In this study on expressions with religious motives and human values in Züheyr b. Ebî Sülmâ's divan, who is a poet of the age of ignorance and one of the authors of Mu'allaka-ı Sab'a, the values in question were investigated and tried to be determined. In this context, the work named Ebü'l-Abbas Sa'leb'in Şerhu divani Züheyr b. Ebî Sülmâ, written in the poet's divan, was taken as main source and other exegeses that were written regarding to divan were also used. In this study, religious and human values, the poet uttered with a literary tone in his divan, were tried to be determined and explained. This study consists of an abstract, entry and two chapters. In the entry part, information about Arab's, lived in the age of ignorance, religious believes and sense of afterlife were given. In the first chapter, poet's life, works and divan were discussed in a general way. In the second chapter, expressions with religious motives and couplets involving human values were tried to be determined and explained. With this study, it was aimed to make a bit of a contribution to wider studies about the situation of religious and moral values and reflections in society in the age of ignorance.
